Based on the peoples intererest in reading about case studies of how different Providers use the Learning Modules, this month we feature Reach Disability Care, who use a number of the Modules.
Gary Knight is the Manager at Reach, and says:
"REACH has been using modules from the Log on to Care scheme for five years. We use the modules as part of a blended learning half day experience in groups; staff complete the modules in pairs. The modules are accredited to the units of all NVQs and staff use them as evidence of training with their NVQ assessors. REACH uses the Medication, Infection Control, Mental Capacity Act, Diversity and Health and Safety modules. We are hoping that the new Safeguarding module will be appropriate for our service.
We use the module as the"theoretic background" linked to our own policy and practice.
Staff reaction to the training is always very positive, they particularly like the interactivity of the Health and Safety module".
