Log on to Care - Train the Trainer
The best way of a Social Care organisation getting involved in the project is through joining one of the Train the Trainer groups.
The latest times and dates for attending the Train the Trainer groups as of April 2010 are:
-
West Berkshire Train the Trainer group 27th April 9.30-12.30
-
Slough Forum: dates TBC (likely in May)
-
Bucks and Oxon Train the Trainer group 26th May 1-3.30pm
-
Milton Keynes Train the Trainer group Thursday 27th May 9.30-12.30
-
Wokingham Train the Trainer group Wednesday 16th June 9.30-12
These groups meet quarterly to look at ways of delivering training, not just for the Log on to Care programme, but a number of different training topics. They share good practice on training approaches, using blended learning, how best to encourage learners to attend, and are considered very valuable by the organisations involved in the programme.
The Log on to Care programme provides for all participating organisations:
- Use of peripatetic lap tops, that are available for Private and Voluntary sector organisations as part of the project
- Access to all the CD ROMS, given out to all the Train the Trainer organisations at the quarterly meetings to use as part of their training
- Ongoing support by sending through certificates of attendance, and any problems that arise in delivering the project
If you are interested in joining one of the Train the Trainer groups contact David Crowe Log on to Care Project Manager for detailed times and venues for the sessions on 01844 216929, or email him at david@crowe-associates.co.uk
