Health and Safety Essentials
The course is designed to help care workers in both residential and domiciliary settings to understand what Health and Safety means, what the typical hazards are, and how to keep themselves and colleagues safe and well.
Learning objectives
- Learners to understand the principles ofmproving safety, legislation and responsibilities.
- Learners to understand the principles of staying safe at work.
- An awareness of hazardous substances.
- Understanding and meeting the threat from fire.
- How to report health and safety incidents.
- Learners to complete an online assessment to show understanding of the Module
Course duration
Around 2 hours E-learning, and 3-3.5 hours with a Tutor in a group training session.
