Infection Control
The introductory course, “tackling Healthcare associated infections” is designed for care workers in both residential and domiciliary settings. The spread of infection can be prevented by a number of simple measures. This course looks at what Carers can do to stop the spread of infection, using the chain of infection model.
Learning objectives
- Understanding the chain of infection control, as its relates to infectious agents, reservoir, exit from the reservoir, mode of transmission, entry portals and susceptible hosts.
- What Carers can do to stop the chain of infection.
- Learners to complete an online assessment to show understanding of the Module
Course duration
Around 45-60 minutes E-learning, and 1-1.5 hours with a Tutor in a group training session
