Managing Challenging Behaviour
The course is designed to help care workers in both residential and domiciliary settings to be more confident when dealing with challenging behaviour. There is also the expectation that people will gain a much better understanding of their organisation’s policy, and how it affects the way they work.
Learning objectives
- How to define challenging behaviour and how it affects carers.
- How to respond to challenging behaviour, and sources of training and support.
- Using case study scenarios to illustrate aspects of challenging behaviour.
- Learners to complete an online assessment to show understanding of the Module.
Course duration
Around 30 minutes E-learning, and 1 hour with a Tutor in a group training session.
