Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
The course is designed to help care workers in both residential and domiciliary settings to expand their understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults by recognising who is a vulnerable adult, and how to deal with them, if the situation arises. There is also the expectation that people will gain a much better understanding of their organisation’s policy, and how it affects the way they work.
Learning objectives
- How to identify and recognise what is classed as abuse.
- Understanding the basics on how to act on dealing with abuse, and the importance of reporting concerns of abuse.
Awareness of the main pieces of legislation that cover the safeguarding of vulnerable adults in the UK.
- Learners to complete an online assessment to show understanding of the Module.
