Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults

The course is designed to help care workers in both residential and domiciliary settings to expand their understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults by recognising who is a vulnerable adult, and how to deal with them, if the situation arises. There is also the expectation that people will gain a much better understanding of their organisation’s policy, and how it affects the way they work.

Learning objectives

  • How to identify and recognise what is classed as abuse.
  • Understanding the basics on how to act on dealing with abuse, and the importance of reporting concerns of abuse.
  • Logo of the Log on to Care Learning Centre

    Awareness of the main pieces of legislation that cover the safeguarding of vulnerable adults in the UK.
  • Learners to complete an online assessment to show understanding of the Module.
