About Log on to Care
The purpose of the site is to provide useful and up to date information on any aspects of training, funding or general information for the sector.
The Log on to Care web site represents a wide ranging partnership of Social Care organisations who have worked together to create this Employer based facility across the Thames Valley area. The purpose of the site is to provide useful and up to date information on any aspects of training, funding or general information for the sector.
The consortium of Local Authorities who fund and support the project include Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire Councils, and were joined in 2008 by the Berkshire Unitary Authorities of Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead, West Berkshire, Wokingham, Reading and Bracknell Forest. They form the Strategic Steering group of the project that meet quarterly to review project progress. There are also 9 "Train the Trainer" groups that support organisations across the patch deliver the E-learning training Modules.
Crowe Associates (a people development company with significant experience in the sector) support the day to day project management of the site, and have been involved previously with the Log on to Care eLearning project
There is a project review meeting every 2-3 months to look at the information on the site, and update it, but also a monthly on line review where we will update material as and when new information comes to hand.
Each month we keep our subscribers up to date with our handy email newsletter - you can subscribe here!
We are keen to develop the site as it grows and develops, and will look at any ideas that Residential Care Homes or Domiciliary Agencies, or other organisations in the field have for both the information they want on the site, and any technical developments that would be of benefit, such as bulletin boards
If you want to give us any feedback, please contact us.
