Buckinghamshire Courses

Buckinghamshire County Council has been able to access Department of Health funding to support training in health & social care for a number of years. This has enabled us to provide an extensive programme of training to care workers on a free-of-charge basis.

Regrettably, this funding has now been withdrawn and Buckinghamshire County Council and MKB Care Association have reached an agreement to ensure a continuity of training provision in the County.

From 1st April 2011 MKB Care Association will be able to work with you to support your training needs.

Buckinghamshire County Council is committed to working with the care sector to provide the best possible level of care to vulnerable people in the county and recognise that well trained staff are essential to achieving this goal. We have, therefore, supported MKB Care Association to set up a small team of people who will work with you to identify your staff training needs and source training in a way that is both flexible and cost effective.

On a positive note Buckinghamshire County Council will continue to fund ‘Service Critical Areas’ which are listed below with links to further details:

•         SOVA Awareness

•         Responding to Alerts of Abuse

•         MCA Awareness

•         DoLS Awareness

•         MCA for Managers

•         Dementia Awareness

•         Mental Health Awareness

Mental Health nomination form

•         Telecare

•         End of Life Care

Please note the terms and conditions for all Bucks funded training.
