Leadership

Effective Leadership and Management is crucial to any organisation, and the importance of the development of leadership skills is becoming increasingly recognised within the sector.

One approach to management practice is Action Learning. This is an approach based on a group of individuals sharing, reflecting and working together on real issues that are capable of having action taken on them.

To support the principles of co-production and co-development (Putting People First) and linking to the regional Leadership and Management strategy, Skills for Care London commissioned an ambitious programme of action learning over the last 24 months across the capital, which engaged over 140 managers across the five sub-regions.

Drawing on the project evaluations, delegate feedback and the response from within London to the action learning initiative, Skills for Care London have developed a Guide to assist managers, HR practitioners and aspiring facilitators consider how to apply the action learning process. The guide can be downloaded here.
