Learning Centre Update

New learners registering the Log on to Care Learning Centre continues to grow, and in the first 3 months of the launch, we have over 350 people registered.
In many ways, this is a great result, and shows that there is a real interest and desire to use E-learning, or "blended learning" where people are doing the Modules in small groups in areas such as Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Dementia and Managing Medication.
The challenge is that we have limit at this stage of 400 registrations due to budget constraints, and really need to ensure that people who have registered for the Learning Centre are actively using and completing the on line courses. To this end, we will be emailing inactive users over the next week to say that is there is no activity in their account over the following 2 weeks, then we will need to remove the account from the system. This in no way precludes people re-registering, but makes sure that all the people registered are really getting the best from the system and using it.
We are still negotiating with the NHS on the additional 6 units to go onto the Learning Centre due to technical problems, but expect to have these on in September.
