Have you thought about taking on an apprentice?
Apprenticeships can help employers in Adult Social Care with recruitment and retention by offering a route to harness fresh new talent or develop the talent they already have to move into leadership and management roles within their organisation..
Apprenticeships ensure that your workforce has the practical skills and qualifications your organisation needs now and in the future. The mixture of on and off job learning ensures your Apprentice will learn the skills that work best for your business. Over 130,000 companies offer apprentice places because they understand the benefits that apprentices bring to their business – increased productivity, improved competitiveness and a committed and competent work-force.
Apprenticeships deliver skills designed around your business needs. They also help you develop the specialist skills you need to keep pace with the changes and latest working practices in Adult Social Care and to ensure the training will be relevant to our sector, employer representatives from Adult Social Care have worked with Skills for Care to develop the content of the Adult Social care Apprenticeship Framework
Apprentices tend to be eager, motivated, flexible and loyal to the organisation that has offered them an employment or development opportunity and have invested in their furture - an apprentice is with you because they want to be – they have made an active choice to learn on the job and a commitment to working in Adult Social Care.
FACT: In a recent Apprenticeships survey conducted by Populus on behalf of the Learning and Skills Council:
* 80% of organisations felt that apprenticeships reduce staff turnover;
* 83% of employers relied on their apprenticeship programme to provide the skilled workers that they need for the future;
* Two-thirds of respondents believed that their apprenticeship programme helps them fill vacancies more quickly, whilst 88% believe that apprenticeships lead to a more motivated and satisfied workforce;
