The Stroke Association’s has launched an e-learning programme called ‘Stroke is a medical emergency’.

For £10 the course includes information about:

* What a stroke is and types of stroke
* Prevention - The risks we all face
* The history of stroke care
* Thrombolysis
* FAST

Once the assessments have been successfully completed, they will send  a certificate at pass or distinction level depending upon your result.

They don’t suggest this should take the place of our traditional face to face teaching programme… but for a quick fix on stroke ‘first aid’ they think this is well worth a look.
