About this site

The purpose of the site is to provide useful and up to date information on any aspects of training, funding or general information for the sector.

The Log on to Care web site represents a wide ranging partnership of Social Care organisations who have worked together to create this Employer based facility across the Thames Valley area. The purpose of the site is to provide useful and up to date information on any aspects of training, funding or general information for the sector.

A consortium of Local Authorities fund and support this project to include Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead, West Berkshire, Wokingham, Reading, Bracknell Forest and Central Bedfordshire.  Organisations working in these areas can use the resources free of charge.  We charge £10 + VAT per person to anyone else who wishes to use the eLearning centre and we now have a number of organisations using these resources in other areas.

Project Management

The Grey Matter Group (a provider of learning and development solutions and consultancy) support the day to day project management for Log on to Care led by Sarah Knapp, previously West Berkshire Council’s L&D Manager, alongside a team of people with relevant experience in social care and L&D services.  Sarah has been involved with and worked in partnership with Log on to Care since 2008 and is passionate about supporting organisations to access effective training solutions that enable care providers to develop their staff and improve service quality.

You can contact The Grey Matter Group’s support team by telephone:  0845 873 0373 or by email:  support@tgmgroup.net.  Sarah can also be contacted direct by email:  sarah.knapp@tgmgroup.net.

Feedback

We are keen to develop the site as it grows and develops, and will look at any ideas that Residential Care Homes or Domiciliary Agencies, or other organisations in the field have for both the information they want on the site, and any technical developments that would be of benefit, such as bulletin boards

If you want to give us any feedback, please contact us.
